The Kruger National Park is the home of more than 500 bird species, 100 species of reptile and 150 mammal species, including the Big 5 (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and leopard) and the endangered African wild dog. During the 3 Day Kruger Tour you will experience all those exciting things that South African nature has to offer.
You get picked up from your hostel or Johannesburg Airport and brought to
Tremisana Lodge in the Big Five Balule Game Reserve via Dullstroom. Kruger
Park is 570 km away – which is around 7 – 8 hours travel time including
breaks en-route. After returning from a sunset drive on an open gameviewer
you experience how spotlights are used to locate nocturnal animals. In our
new Marula Tree Boma deep in the African bush we serve you an
unforgettable bush braai. After dinner, the day will continue with a night drive.
Your accommodation for the night is an en suite chalet at Tremisana Lodge.
After breakfast we explore the Orpen area of Kruger Park in an open-sided
Gameviewer. Thanks to the added elevation and absence of windows you will
experience excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Your qualified
guide will show you various animals living in this outstanding wildlife paradise.
The Orpen Gate of Kruger provides the highest percentage population of
giraffe, zebra and antelope, which then again attract numerous lions and other
predators. Dinner and overnight will be in our fascinating treehouse at Marc’s
We enjoy an early morning Bush Walk accompanied by an armed ranger, who
will show you various interesting details of the bush, for example, insects,
spoor and scats. You are offered the great opportunity to encounter nyala,
buffalo and other game on foot. After breakfast, we drive to the Three
Rondawels of the Blyde River Canyon. We bring you back to your hotel or
airport at around 17h00.
